Restrictions on the circulation of general goods on the roads of Catalonia.
Every year the Catalan Traffic Service provides a summary of the traffic restrictions. Below is the 2017 resolution for vehicles transporting general goods:
Els vehicles de tot tipus o conjunts de vehicles que superen els 7.500kg de massa màxima autoritzada (MMA) o massa màxima del conjunt (MMC), respectivament, destinats als transport de mercaderies en general, no poden circular per les vies públiques interurbes de Catalunya a les dates, horàries i trams de carreteres indicats als annexes B1 i B2 de la resolució.
On the other hand, if the vehicles are travelling through Catalonia or on long-distance routes (more than three counties), they will have to use mainly the network of European routes or the motorways, dual carriageways or segregated roads available. If this is not possible, they may use the remaining road network, avoiding in any case, county and local roads.
