Moving floors, tipper trailers, powder tankers, and tautliners for efficient transport of bulk and palletized goods. Learn how to choose the right trailer for your load.
At Transports Porqueres, we specialize in providing ground transportation solutions for full loads, both bulk and palletized, across Europe. We are committed to offering flexible and effective transportation solutions to our clients. We have a diverse fleet of trailers including moving floors, tipper trailers, tautliners, powder tankers, among others, which allows us to adapt to the different loading needs of our clients in various sectors.
Below, we present four of the types of trailers we use most and the features that make them unique:
MOVING FLOOR
The moving floor trailer is the most versatile and the most used in our fleet. This type of trailer is ideal for both bulk and palletized loads, and it allows us to optimize routes and reduce empty kilometres travelled. Thanks to this flexibility, we can serve clients from different sectors such as consumer goods, construction, metals, waste, and renewable energies.
Features of the Moving Floor:
• Capacity of more than 90 m³, ideal for bulk materials of large volume and low specific weight.
• Automatic loading and unloading system from the rear, allowing operations in spaces with limited manoeuvrability or without a loading dock.
• Capacity to transport solid or palletized goods.
• Especially useful for materials such as corn, wheat, barley, soy, scrap, paper, cardboard, plastic, and biomass.
Our moving floor trucks are an excellent option for transporting large volumes of goods efficiently and safely.
TIPPER TRAILER
Also known as a dump or tipper, this type of trailer is perfect for transporting solid bulk goods. Tipper trailers are especially useful for sectors such as construction, and for grain and scrap transportation.
Features of the Tipper Semi-Trailer:
• Capacity of more than 45 m³ for solid bulk loads.
• Rear tipping unloading system.
• Airtight closure at the rear to protect the load.
• Retractable tarpaulin roof to protect the goods during transport.
There are some differences between aluminium tippers, which are mainly used for transporting grains, and scrap tippers, designed for transporting metallic scrap.
POWDER TANKER
Our tanker trucks are designed with a high level of insulation, that is, reinforced to prevent leaks and therefore ensure safety during the transport of each type of merchandise. Briefly, they are ideal for transporting powdered or liquid goods.
Features of the Powder Tipper Tanker:
• Capacity of 45 m³ for transporting solid or liquid bulk goods.
• Pressure and/or tipping unloading system.
• Ideal for transporting grains, raw materials for animal feed, biomass, and bulk cement.
TAUTLINER
Also known as curtain-sided or curtain trailers, tautliners are perfect for transporting solid palletized and/or fractional goods. This type of trailer offers great flexibility in loading and unloading goods.
Features of Tautliner Trailers:
• Standard truck with sliding curtains.
• Possibility to load goods from the side, rear, or top.
• Standard dimensions of 13.60m long x 2.48m wide and 2.7m high, with the option to raise up to 3 meters in some models.
